Are you Ready for Breeding Season?

It's never too early to think ahead and prepare for the upcoming breeding season. We suggest following these simple steps to save time, avoid last minute hassles and make life a little easier for yourself and the people you work and live with.

• Make sure your cowherd is healthy and in good breeding condition. Proper nutrition is key.
• Inspect your AI tank and have it filled with liquid nitrogen before you order semen.
• Allow enough time for shipping. It is best to order semen at least two weeks in advance of your breeding date. It is a busy time of year for everyone, and often shipping tanks are in short supply.
• Make a check list for AI supplies, and have these items on hand in advance of breeding. This cuts down on stress at breeding time and can eliminate an argument with your partner or significant other.
• Record your work; make sure your record keeping tools are accessible so you will be sure to use them.
